Hello, Namween here! Navigate through the Glogster to read more about my culture.

What traditions are different than your own? What kind of crafts does your country make?
FoodZambia's native cuisine is based on nshima, which is a cooked poridge made from ground maize. This is similar to the United State's cornmeal. This is usually made thin with sugar for breakfast. And then made thicker, like mashed potatoes for lunch and dinner. For these main meals it would normally be accompanied by some tasty meat, tomatoes or dried fish.
You should try some nshima if you ever get to visit! It is delish!(Zambia Travel Guide, n.d)

Clothing
At one time, the government in Zambia owned and operated a large textile industry. The main product was bright, brilliantly colored dyed fabrics in many patterns. This fabric was used for chitenges, which are strips of cloth. These strips are worn as skirts, wrapped about the bodies of women - especially popular in Zambian villages. In the 1990's, the need for saulas, or second-hand clothing, increased and donations began pouring in from Western countries and church organizations. Thus, the need for new textiles was decreased.
